Do you love petit fours and fancy chocolates? Then you will love stitching SWEET TREATS! I designed Sweet Treats an used my thread stash to stitch it, it is still a fun project. You can have fun with pastel and "candy" colors while combining ribbon flowers, embroidered trellises and traditional needlepoint stitches to create this small, treasure-filled design. You can stitch with types of thread and silk ribbons to capture the look you want....there is room for lots of experimentation, if you so choose. Or change the colors entirely: what about red, white and blue?
Your finished piece can be a box like the original or would be fun as an insert for a tea tray or tote. I include both a list of the threads and ribbons I used plus a list of a few alternative threads and embellishments to try. No finishing materials are included.
The design is small....just 5 1/4" square
Ground Fabric is 18 count while mono canvas with the edges taped and the design drawn on the canvas
Suggested stitching level is Basic Intermediate to Intermediate
The SWEET TREATS BASIC KIT includes the canvas, instruction book and thread lists, and storage bag.
A GREAT GROUP/GUILD PROJECT. A group can purchase kits without or without threads and stretcher bar kits. This allows each stitcher to supply her own threads and embellishments, if she wants. if your group or guild is interested, please send me a note.....discounts/free shipping for group orders of 5 or more
